Birmingham’s Sloss Tech returning after 3-year COVID hiatus
Sloss Tech is back after a three-year hiatus.
The tech startup and entrepreneurial celebration, which packed out Birmingham’s Lyric Theatre for four years, will return from its COVID pandemic hiatus June 9, according to posts on social media.
TechBirmingham and Telegraph Creative made the announcement.
The event will the feature “the best and the brightest of today’s tech entrepreneurs, both nationally and locally,” according to an announcement on social media.
“This event provides a venue for thought-provoking presentations and workshops covering the latest in creative thinking and emerging technologies,” the announcement stated.
Sloss Tech in its first four years featured panel discussions, interviews, and presentations of products, all highlighting startups and entrepreneurship in the Southeast. Among previous guests were Shipt and Landing founder Bill Smith, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, former Chief Brand Officer of Uber Bozoma Saint John, podcaster Payne Lindsey, and filmmaker Casey Neistat.
Announcements about speakers and tickets will be made in coming weeks.
