Birmingham’s Robins & Morton complete Florida medical project, to begin work on Panama City hospital

Birmingham-based Robins & Morton recently completed a medical office project in Panama City Beach, Fla., and will soon begin work on a hospital.

The Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare Medical Office Building in Panama City Beach is a four-story, 80,000-square-foot facility.

In the coming months, Robins & Morton will break ground on a new 100-bed hospital on the same campus with an emergency center and other inpatient services, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.

The hospital will accommodate surgery, cardiology procedures and imaging, and provide opportunities for FSU researchers, as well as and residency programs and clinical rotations for Florida State University medical students.

The medical office project was a collaboration with The St. Joe Company and Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.

“Access to high-quality, specialized health care is a foundational component of an active community,” said Andrew Starr, chief health operations officer of TMH.

“On behalf of Tallahassee Memorial, we are excited to work with St. Joe and Robins & Morton on this monumental project which will expand our healthcare footprint into Bay County.”

Robins & Morton is the general contractor for the project. HuntonBrady is the architect.

“We are thrilled to announce the completion of this important medical facility for our Panama City Beach community,” Robins & Morton Operations Manager Angel Colon said.

“This project is a testament to our team’s dedication to meeting the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This facility will serve as a place where medical professionals can provide top-tier care in a modern, comfortable environment. We look forward to seeing its lasting, positive impact on the well-being of our community.”
