Birminghamâs The Sanders Trust completes $72 million Massachusetts hospital
Birmingham’s The Sanders Trust has opened a new $72 million hospital in Massachusetts.
The healthcare real estate investment and development company is the developer and building owner of Valley Spring Behavioral Health Hospital in Holyoke, Mass.
The 124,000-square-foot facility features 150 beds, 30 of which are being operated by the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health. The facility has ample space for psychotherapy, art and occupational therapy, a gymnasium for physical activity and recreation, and access to outdoor spaces.
A joint venture between Lifepoint Health and Baystate Health, the hospital was designed by full-service architectural & interior design firm Stengel Hill Architecture of Louisville, Ky. DPR Construction of Redwood City, Calif. was the general contractor for the project.
