A Birmingham-based real estate acquisition and development firm has acquired an Arizona health care facility for $8.4 million.

Sanders Capital Partners announced the recent purchase of the Pima Transitional Living Facility in Tucson, a 14,506-square-foot behavioral health facility.

The facility is home to America’s Rehab Campuses (ARC), an Arizona behavioral healthcare provider. ARC provides clinicians and therapists who specialize in addiction treatment services, such as medical detox and inpatient residential rehab.

Jackson Stewart, executive vice president and general counsel for Sanders Capital Partners, said the company is entering the Tuscon market with a “best-in-class facility.”

“ARC remains committed to delivering an innovative approach to behavioral health that greatly benefits their clients and the community,” Stewart said. “We are keen to increase Sanders Capital Partners’ exposure to quality behavioral health assets throughout the country.”

Sanders Capital Partners develops and acquires retail centers, medical properties, strategic land and light industrial properties, primarily throughout the South, Midwest and Southwest.
