Birmingham’s Robins & Morton completes Redstone Gateway 8100 project

Birmingham-based construction firm Robins & Morton has completed the Redstone Gateway 8100 building in Huntsville.

The five-story, 125,000-square-foot office building is located on Rideout Road, just outside Gate 9 at Redstone Arsenal. It was a project with Corporate Office Properties Trust (COPT).

Redstone Gateway 8100 is adjacent to the five-story RG8200/RG8300 Northrop Grumman R&D campus buildings, completed by Robins & Morton earlier this year.

Powers Brown Architecture was the project’s architect.

Redstone Gateway 8100 is the fourth multi-story tilt-wall building constructed by Robins & Morton in the past three years.

“The addition of Building 8100 to the Redstone Gateway development brings another 125,000 square feet of Class A leasable square footage immediately adjacent to Redstone Arsenal and the Huntsville community,” Project Director Stephen Flournoy said. “We are grateful for our partnership with COPT and the opportunity to build this multi-story tilt-wall office project.”

The project is also pursuing LEED certification as a joint RG8000/RG8100 campus submission.
