Birmingham’s Motion Industries has announced an agreement to acquire two Canadian companies.

The hydraulics and equipment firm entered a purchase agreement for Perfetto and SER Hydraulics, both of Sudbury, Canada.

The transaction is expected to be finalized at the end of February. Terms of the deal were not immediately available.

Perfetto has been in business since 1986, and SER Hydraulics since 1978. The two provide service and equipment for hydraulic/pneumatic cylinders, complex power units and other assets used in the mining, agricultural and forestry industries.

Randy Breaux, president of parent company GPC North America, said Motion looks forward to “welcoming these two terrific organizations, especially the talented employees.”

“These world-class experts will be key to our market growth strategy, and we look forward to extending our position together as a premier leader in industrial solutions,” Breaux said.
