Birmingham Veterans Day parade 2023: When, where, how to watch online, route
The 76th Annual National Veterans Day Parade will take place in downtown Birmingham on Saturday, Nov. 11.
The parade celebrates the national holiday officially signed into legislation by President Dwight Eisenhower in 1954 and is the longest-running parade of its kind in the country.
“This is such a unique event for our city and for honoring the many men and women who have served and currently serve our country,” said Mark Ryan, president of the National Veterans Day Parade, in a press release. “We invite individuals and families to join us downtown to help us celebrate, remember and pay homage to those who have given their all for the U.S. and its people.”
You can expect to see Miss Alabama 2023 Brianna Burrell, local Shriners, a mixture of veterans service organizations, members of the U.S. armed forces and Alabama military supporters, as well as local color guards, high school bands and drill teams.
