Birmingham Stallions to hold fan event on Thursday before Friday’s home opener
Before the Birmingham Stallions kick off the home portion of their 2025 schedule on Friday night, the United Football League team will hold a fan event on Thursday.
“We can’t wait to play for our city and fans this Friday night,” Stallions coach Skip Holtz said in a release from the team. “We have missed Birmingham and are ready to be back in the Magic City to play in Protective Stadium with the greatest fans cheering us on. Come out Thursday at The Fennec so you can visit with our team. We’ve got some new faces who are excited to meet our fans and get to know our city.”
The Fennec, at 1630 2nd Ave. South in Birmingham, will serve as the site for the fan event at 5:30 p.m. CDT Thursday.
Players will be on hand to meet fans and sign autographs, and Holtz and some of the Stallions will take part in a question-and-answer session.
Birmingham will take on the Arlington Renegades at 7 p.m. Friday at Protective Stadium.
Tickets can be purchased online. The Stallions have a hot dog-and-soda package available in a family pack and ticket deals for students, first responders, active military, veterans, health-care workers and teachers.
Birmingham opened its season with two road games – losing to the DC Defenders 18-11 on March 30 and defeating the Michigan Panthers 21-12 on Friday.
Arlington opened its season with a pair of home games and won both – 33-9 over the San Antonio Brahmas on March 29 and 11-9 over the Houston Roughnecks on Sunday.
The Stallions have won nine in a row at Protective Stadium since falling to the Houston Gamblers 27-20 on May 13, 2023, in a USFL game.
