Birmingham Stallions sign Alabama high school alumnus

The Birmingham Stallions have signed former Spain Park High School offensive lineman William Mote.

The former Georgia long snapper joins the United Football League team as the Stallions placed long snapper Ryan Langan on injured reserve.

Langan has served as Birmingham’s long snapper since the team’s first season in 2022.

Mote worked as Georgia’s snapper on punts for four seasons and on placements for one.

Mote played in 2024 Reese’s Senior Bowl.

Birmingham also signed guard Grant Miller, with guard Lachavious Simmons joining Langan on injured reserve. Simmons is a former Selma High School standout.

The Stallions play the San Antonio Brahmas at 3 p.m. CDT Sunday at Protective Stadium in Birmingham. FOX will televise the game.
