Birmingham police asked for the public’s help Tuesday in locating a missing 12-year-old boy who ran away from a group home.

Forrell Lawson was last seen leaving the Children’s Village Group Home at 2001 18th St. SW, police said Tuesday evening.

It was not immediately clear the exact time Forrell was spotted, but he was seen leaving the home on foot in an unknown direction, police said.

The 12-year-old boy, who was described as 5-feet tall and 125 pounds, was last seen wearing a dark shirt, blue jeans and multi-colored shoes.

Anyone with information on Forrell’s whereabouts was asked to call Det. Z. Pitts, Jr. at 205-834-5899.
