Birmingham police searching for 4-year-old girl reportedly taken by non-custodial mother
Authorities are searching for a 4-year-old who they say was taken by her non-custodial mother Monday morning.
Kamari Nelson was last seen Monday morning at Children’s of Alabama, according to Birmingham police.
Police officers were dispatched to the hospital about 10 a.m. on a report of a kidnapping, according to police radio communications.
Police identified the mother as Kiana Lashun Armer. The mother does not have custody, authorities said.
Armer is possibly driving a black Ford Expedition with license plate JGS532 or a white Chrysler Sebring with an unknown tag.
Kamari was wearing a pink long sleeve shirt with a silver heart in the middle, gray leggings, a pink, purple and white cheetah patterned coat and black tennis shoes with white trim.
Armer is described as a Black female, 5-feet-9 inches tall and weighing 326 pounds.
