Fire swept through a Birmingham club early Monday morning, destroying the business.

Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service responded to Luxe Ultra Lounge at 2:47 a.m. Lt. Catina Williams said no one was inside the club at the time.

The location is on 23rd Street South.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, the club was engulfed in flames. It took them about 2 ½ hours to get the blaze under control.

There were no injuries reported.

Williams said the cause of the fire is not yet known. The investigation is ongoing.
