Birmingham firefighters battling blaze at Montclair Road apartment building
Firefighters are battling a blaze at an apartment building on Montclair Road.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service responded about 7:40 a.m. Friday to Stonehenge Apartments.
They arrived to find smoke and fire coming from the two-story building.
Battalion Chief Clay Hendon said 14 apartments sustained damage, either from fire or smoke and water. No one was injured.
There was a storm in the area at the time, but it’s too soon to determine what sparked the blaze.
Red Cross officials are en route to help the residents who have been displaced.
