Birmingham contractor completes $40 million North Carolina luxury cottage project
Birmingham’s Capstone Building Corp. has completed construction on a $40 million single-family rental cottage development.
Heartsease at Calabash is located in Calabash, N.C., a coastal city near the South Carolina state line.
The project is by developer EYC Companies.
“Heartsease at Calabash is a great example of how thoughtful design and execution can create an elevated living experience,” Joe May, Capstone’s vice president of project management said.
Heartsease at Calabash has 158 craftsman-style cottages across almost 40 acres, at just four units per acre.
The homes include single-level floor plans, duplexes with one and two bedrooms, and standalone cottages with one, two, or three bedrooms.
Each home has private porches and yards, garages or carports, valet trash service and other amenities.
The development also features resort-style amenities including a clubhouse, saltwater pool, fitness center, pickleball courts, poolside fire pits, walking trails and picnic areas.
Last month, Capstone Building completed work on a $17.6 million senior affordable housing development in Memphis.
