Big K.R.I.T to headline Birmingham Freedom Fest

Big K.R.I.T will be the headliner for this year’s Freedom Fest in Birmingham.

The Mississippi-born rapper will take the stage when the city’s day-long music and empowerment festival returns to Kelly Ingram Park on July 29.

The performance will be during the second half of the day as part of the festival’s live music rundown featuring local and national musicians, recording artists and creatives. The first half of Freedom Fest will feature discussions on equality and civic engagement issues “led by some of the brightest minds in advocacy.”

Big K.R.I.T is no stranger to Birmingham. He’s frequented stages in the city–and around the state– since 2012. In June 2022, he brought his Digital Roses tour to Iron City. Three months later, he returned to the city to headline “Bubba’s Block Party”– the pop-up music festival from NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace– in Railroad Park.
