Big changes are coming to this popular national pizza chain
Pizza Hut restaurants with classic Tiffany lamps and wooden booths have become hard to find since the national chain started its transition to a more modern design.
Now, the pizza brand has unveiled its most innovative design concept for restaurants in the U.S. Located in Plano, Texas, the new restaurant includes self-service kiosks and cabinets for contactless pick-up. The restaurant will also introduce a drive-thru featuring a “Hut ‘N Go” menu offering a selection “ready-now” items guests can order quickly and pick up at the window.
The restaurant concept is a first in the U.S., but the design is already operating in more than 80 markets around the globe and nearly 2000 Pizza Hut locations according to a press release from the company.
According to Pizza Hut, research shows the new design “offers an enhanced guest experience while also driving more transactions and in-restaurant traffic compared to previous formats.”
“We know the consumer is expecting speed, accuracy and an incredible product, but is also expecting an experience,” Shannon Garcia, Pizza Hut’s president of global franchise markets and global operations, told CNN in an interview. “The time is right when we think about a post-pandemic world that has become much more digital.”
