A bicyclist was killed early Friday in a hit-and-run in Talladega.

Police were dispatched to a report of an injured person at 4:58 a.m. The location was the intersection of Stephen J. White Boulevard and North Street East.

Officers arrived to the find the victim and his bicycle in the road. Investigators determine he had been hit by a vehicle.

Pierre Remayne Whitson, 37, of Talladega, was pronounced dead on the scene.
