A Bessemer woman died Sunday, four days after she was injured in a head-on crash.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the woman as Linda Hamner Maloy. She was 70.

The wreck happened at 5:03 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22, in the 5600 block of Pocahontas Road. Few details have been released about the crash, but coroner’s officials said multiple vehicles were involved.

Maloy was taken to UAB Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 10:27 a.m. Sunday.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
