A Bessemer man has died following a weekend crash in Jefferson County.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the fatality victim as Elfego Castillo Lorenzo. He was 58.

The wreck happened at 4:11 p.m. Saturday in the 7900 block of Dickey Springs Road. Details surrounding the crash have not been released.

Lorenzo was taken to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 11:45 p.m. Monday.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
