A Berry woman was killed in a head-on crash Friday night on Highway 43 near Northport.

Casey M. Jackson, 30, was fatally injured when the 2014 Chevrolet Captiva she was driving collided with a 2005 Ford F-150, authorities said.

The crash occurred just before midnight on Friday. Police said Jackson was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle was injured and transported to an area hospital for treatment.

State troopers are continuing to investigate the incident and have not disclosed any further information.
