Beloved Alabama steak restaurant opens second location

Fans of Jesse’s Restaurant in Magnolia Springs in Alabama’s Baldwin County now have a second option to satisfy their steak and seafood cravings.

Jesse’s on the Bay announced its long-awaited opening in a Facebook post this morning.

The new location is at 1631 Crosswinds Court, just off Fort Morgan Road between Gulf Shores and Fort Morgan, and it overlooks Bon Secour Bay.

Dinner hours are 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays and 5 to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. The restaurant plans to open for lunch soon, according to the Facebook post.

The menu features 30-day-dry-aged ribeye steaks, bone-in ribeyes and Kurobuta pork chops, as well as such seafood dishes as diver scallops, Gulf grouper and shrimp and grits.

The original Jesse’s Restaurant, which is nestled along Oak Street in picturesque Magnolia Springs, opened in 1999 in the former Moore Bros. Store, which dates to 1922.

The restaurant is named for Jesse King, the store’s beloved shopkeeper for more than 60 years.
