Beloved Alabama Italian restaurant closing after nearly 20 years, plans to open another

After nearly 20 years of service, Terranova’s Italian restaurant in Huntsville will be closing its doors on Feb. 2, the owner recently announced.

“With saddened and heavy hearts, Terranova’s Hsv is closing our doors Feb 2nd for the last time,” owner Dan Oliver posted to the business’ Facebook page.

“We are most appreciative of our wonderful staff (management, servers, host/support and kitchen) as well as our faithful and loving guest whi have supported us for the last 18 years.”

“We have been blessed with the opportunity to serve and support this community.”

The post added that plans to open an Athens location at 100 Hwy 31, Suite J in late February are still moving forward.

“During this transition period, we ask that you please come join us and support what we have left to give by asking for favorite servers, giving hugs, and well wishes, but most importantly please give prayers to all and our families,” Oliver wrote.

“We will post more updates as they come. Thank you all.”
