Bob Jones nipped Vestavia Hills 49-45 on the road on Tuesday to improve to 2-2 on the year while dropping the Rebels to 1-2. The Patriots trailed 13-9 after one period before rallying for a 22-21 halftime edge and a 32-28 lead headed into the final quarter. The teams battled to a 17-all stalemate in the fourth quarter.

Five Patriots scored on the night, led by 6-foot-6 senior combo guard and Murray State signee Kaden Rickard with 19 points. He was 9-for-10 at the foul line, hitting all six attempts in the fourth quarter and grabbed 7 rebounds. Eric Marrow scored 13 points in the win with 8 rebounds. Jaylen Rice finished with 11 points and 4 boards.
