Basketball rosters announced for 29th annual AHSAA North-South All-Star Game

Player of the year finalists and state champions highlight the rosters for the 29th annual AHSAA North-South All-Star Game, which were announced Tuesday.

The 15-member squads will participate in a girls and a boys game as a part of the AHSAA and AHSADCA all-star week, which will be held from July 14-19 in Montgomery.

“This group is collectively one of the most experienced groups we have seen selected in quite some time,” AHSADCA director J.T. Lawrence said. “Seventeen of the players selected participated in the AHSAA 2025 State Championships at the BJCC earlier this winter with 10 helping their teams win the state championship.”

Among the selections for the North girls team include Mississippi State commit Lani Smallwood and multiple state champions in Hoover duo Aaliyah Blanchard and Khloe Ford and Pisgah star Campbell Barron.

The South has a duo of state champions from the same team in Tariah Magee and Maliyah Meeks of Park Crossing, along with Auburn commit Jabria Lindsey from Central-Phenix City.

The North boys team includes defending state champion Jackson Sheffield of Hoover and first-team all-state pick Jaylen Alexander from Oxford.

Joseph Taylor of Jackson, Pearce Boone of Providence Christian and Isiah Thomas of R.C. Hatch are the state champions on the boys South team.
