Barrage of gunfire at Birmingham apartment complex leaves 3 wounded
A barrage of gunfire at a south Birmingham apartment complex left three people injured.
The shots rang out shortly after 10:30 p.m. Thursday on Knob Hill Drive. That location is Valley Station Apartment Homes off Valley Avenue.
Three people were taken to the hospital. One victim suffered life-threatening injuries while the other two sustained non-life-threating wounds.
Birmingham police put down almost 24 evidence markers in the parking lot.
Officer Truman Fitzgerald said the preliminary information suggests the shooting stemmed from a physical fight.
No arrests have been made.
