Bama Rush HBO documentary has a trailer: Watch now
A new documentary promises to pull back the curtain on the University of Alabama’s competitive, glitzy, crazy — and secretive — sorority recruitment process.
Despite complaints from University of Alabama and threats from sorority chapters that have long guarded recruitment, a documentary crew apparently got enough access to Tuscaloosa’s rush week to film and release a documentary.

University of Alabama officials confirmed reports of “unauthorized recordings” of students involved in sororites in August. The Panhellenic Association warned recruits from filming each other surreptitiously.
The documentary appears to follow four students as they navigate outfits, interviews and the pressure of picking — and being picked by — a sisterhood.
Watch a trailer for the documentary now. HBO Max says the documentary will stream May 23, 2023.
