Baldwin County Sewer Service asks Gulf Shores to consider sludge pond application
Baldwin County Sewer Service, one of the county’s private utility companies, made the case Monday night for why the city of Gulf Shores should consider its proposal to expand its Fort Morgan Wastewater Treatment Plant, including an onsite sludge pond constructed in late 2021.
“We’ve now been waiting six months… We spent tens of thousands of dollars on design to answer everything, and it hasn’t been placed on your agenda,” David Conner, an attorney for BCSS, said during a presentation during the Gulf Shores City Council meeting Monday. “We’re trying to follow your procedures and your processes.”
