Authorities shut down unlicensed Alabama exotic dance club, find minors, drugs, weapons

Authorities say a raid shut down an unlicensed exotic dance club in Morgan County Saturday night.

According to Decatur police, the department’s vice and narcotics unit, operating with CID detectives and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Alcohol Division Agents, executed a search warrant at Club Levelz in the 100 block of 22nd Ave. N.W.

The location was operating as a night club, promoting exotic dancers, and sales of alcohol. According to police, the club does not have a business license or liquor license, and is located in a designated dry area of Morgan County.

There were numerous individuals at the club, authorities said, three of whom were under the age of 21.

Police said officers also discovered multiple firearms, narcotics, exotic dancers, and illegal alcohol in the club.

Investigators took six people into custody, one for an outstanding felony warrant and the others for various misdemeanor charges.
