Authorities are on the scene of a plane crash in Tuscaloosa County.

Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue and the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office responded at 10;30 a.m. Friday to the crash at Burchfield Branch Park Road on Lock 17 Road.

Fire spokeswoman Holly Whigham said the plane went into the Black Warrior River. The location is near Brookwood.

Water rescue and dive teams are on the scene.

Multiple first responder agencies are on the scene.
