Authorities ID woman killed when her SUV crashed into tree in north Jeffco
A woman killed in a single-vehicle crash in northern Jefferson County has now been identified.
Jessica Ruth Kupfer, 42, was killed Friday morning, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
Sheriff’s deputies were called just before 11 a.m. to the 2400 block of Morris Majestic Road near Morris on a report of a wreck, said sheriff’s Lt. Joni Money.
Authorities said it appears Kupfer’s 2023 Dodge Durango crossed the railroad tracks and left the road, crashing into a tree.
Kupfer was pronounced dead on the scene.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
