Authorities ID 33-year-old man killed in northern Jefferson County rollover crash
A 33-year-old has been identified as the man killed in a Sunday-morning crash near Warrior.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the fatality victim as James Newman Whisenhunt. He lived in Warrior.
Sheriff’s deputies responded about 3 a.m. Sunday to the 8600 block of Rouse Road near Warrior after receiving reports of a vehicle on its side in a ditch.
When they arrived, deputies found a white SUV had rolled multiple times and came to a rest in the ditch, said Lt. Joni Money.
Whisenhunt was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:10 a.m. The time of the crash has not yet been determined.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating.
