Auburn sports logo: Which is the best?
It really comes down to the two classics: The Interlocking AU or the Eagle A. Auburn fans are split on the greatest Tiger sports logo of all time.
We asked AL.com readers on Facebook, Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), “What is your favorite Auburn sports logo?”
Here were your options: 1) The Interlocking AU (1966-present), 2) Tiger Eyes (2004-present), 3) Leaping Tiger (1983-1997), 4) Eagle A (1975-1997), 5) Sailor Aubie (1945-1983). (And you can cast your own vote in the poll above!)
You responded immediately and passionately. We got more than 630 answers on Instagram alone, followed by more than 560 on Facebook. (For what it’s worth, here’s how the likes broke down on the individual Facebook photos: Logo 1 got 205 likes/loves, 2 got 68, 3 got 51, 4 got 308, and 5 got 257.)
While we understand you love them all, with many users saying as much (”All of them are AUsome!”), you have to make a pick.
It seemed clear fans adore the Interlocking AU, with most of the picks hailing that as the Auburn logo, but there was plenty of love to go around, especially for the Eagle A, a fine retro choice you’ll still see on a lot of gameday apparel or just year-round.
Below are a handful of comments left by fans on AL.com’s social media platforms. Read them all on Facebook, Instagram and X.

Logo 3: Really cool and very detailed but if you looked at it you wouldn’t really be able to tell that it’s an auburn logo because lots of school are the tigers 6.5/10. Logo 4: I don’t think there is much to say, the best logo 10/10. Logo 5: This really brings out aubie the mascot, it gives aubie vibes for me and aubie is a w so 9.5/10.”
