Auburn NFL roundup: Carlsons make kicks in wins

Green Bay kicker Anders Carlson was wide left on a 48-yard field-goal attempt on the final snap of the first half, but he came back to connect on field goals of 26 and 34 yards in the second half and also had two extra points in the Packers’ 20-3 victory over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

Carlson’s older brother Daniel Carlson had three field-goal attempts on Sunday, too, and he made them all in the Las Vegas Raiders’ 30-6 victory over the New York Giants.

The Raiders responded to the firing of coach Josh McDaniels and general manager David Ziegler on Tuesday night with their highest-scoring game of the year, with Daniel Carlson contributing field goals of 24, 46 and 41 yards and three extra points.

The Carlson brothers were among the 14 former Auburn players who got on the field on the ninth Sunday of the NFL’s 104th season.
