Auburn men’s basketball enters the 2024-2025 season with high expectations.

The first sign of that came with a No. 11 ranking in the preseason AP Top 25. The latest is a second-place finish in the preseason Southeastern Conference media poll.

Alabama is the only team picked to finish ahead of Auburn, as the Tide also carry a No. 2 ranking in the AP poll into the season. Auburn finished fourth in the SEC last season but won the conference tournament.

Tennessee, last season’s regular season champion, is projected to finish third, one place behind the Tigers.
