Auburn Jack LB Stephen Sings V reportedly enters transfer portal

Auburn jack linebacker Stephen Sings V will enter the transfer portal, according to a report from On3.

Sings played in six games for Auburn this season and had five tackles. Though, he did not produce any stats after Auburn’s 45-13 win against Samford on Sept. 16.

Sings had received some buzz during fall camp to be in the main rotations at the jack linebacker position along with Jalen McLeod and Elijah McAllister, but McLeod fully took over the job as the year went along with dominant play as Auburn’s best pass rusher and McAllister clearly the top backup behind him.

Sings spent just one season with Auburn, arriving in May from Liberty — following head coach Hugh Freeze and defensive line coach Jeremy Garrett after their move from Liberty to Auburn.

Already a graduate student when he arrived at Auburn, Sings will have one more year of eligibility.
