Auburn gets double-bye, No. 4 seed in 2024 SEC Tournament

Auburn will in fact get the coveted double-bye in next week’s SEC Tournament that it has spent weeks working to ensure. With its 92-78 win over Georgia on Saturday night, Auburn clinched the No. 4 seed in the SEC Tournament.

The tournament will be played at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, and begin Wednesday.

  3. Alabama
  4. Auburn
  5. South Carolina
  6. Florida
  7. Texas A&M
  8. LSU
  9. Mississippi State
  10. Ole Miss
  11. Georgia
  12. Arkansas
  13. Vanderbilt
  14. Missouri

Auburn’s first game will be played at 2:30 p.m. CT on Friday and will be aired on ESPN. Auburn will face the winner of South Carolina and Arkansas/Vanderbilt.

Auburn has won the SEC Tournament twice: in 1985 and 2019.

Its most recent time getting at top four seed was the 2022 edition, where Auburn was the top seed as the league’s regular season champion. But Auburn lost its first game that year.
