Auburn gets commitment from junior college OT transfer Seth Wilfred

Seth Wilfred, a transfer offensive tackle from Snow College in Utah, announced his commitment to Auburn with a tweet on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Monday.

Snow College is the same junior college where Auburn cornerback Keionte Scott began his career. Scott announced Monday he will be returning to Auburn for one more season, and he was the first Auburn play to post his excitement from Wilfred’s commitment.

Wilfred is listed as a 6-6, 295-pound offensive tackle. After playing his freshman year in 2023 at Snow College, he has three remaining years of eligibility.

Wilfred is Auburn’s second transfer portal commitment in as many days after Georgia State wide receiver Robert Lewis picked Auburn on Sunday.

Auburn has heavily targeted offensive linemen in the transfer portal as it is set to lose starters Gunner Britton, Avery Jones and Kam Stutts. A likely developmental player like Wilfred makes sense as Auburn builds for the future.

Wilfred is from Mitchell, Nebraska, but finished his high school career with the nationally regarded Bishop Gorman team in Las Vegas.

Last weekend, Wilfred took an official visit to Auburn.

Wilfred joins DeAndre Carter as the current incoming offensive lineman to Auburn for next season. Carter, who is a senior at Mater Dei in California, is ranked as a top-five interior offensive lineman in the 2024 high school class and has been a consistent starter at tackle for one of the best high school teams in the country over the last four years.
