Auburn football signs former Wake Forest WR out of transfer portal

Auburn football’s latest transfer move came to its receiver room, signing former Wake Forest wide receiver Horatio Fields. He announced the transfer in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Fields spent four seasons with the Demon Deacons, having his best season in 2024. He caught 39 passes for 463 yards and four touchdowns this past campaign, making him Wake Forest’s second-leading receiver and leading the team in touchdown catches.

At 6-foot-3, 205 pounds, Fields provides another big target for Auburn at receiver, joining other big receivers such as Cam Coleman and Perry Thompson. He also provides extra experience to a young group that lost both Robert Lewis and KeAndre Lambert-Smith.

Fields will have one season of eligibility remaining at Auburn.
