Auburn Board of Trustees approve $9 million renovations to Neville Arena

The Auburn board voted to continue plans to build a new basketball practice facility, with a proposed $9 million renovation to Neville Arena Friday morning.

The Auburn BOT previously approved a project to build a new basketball practice facility in 2022. However, NIL took priority over other issues pushing the project back for Auburn athletics.

The state-of-the-art facility “will renovate 22,500 square feet within the arena providing enhancements to the existing practice gym, scholarship lobby upgrades, and relocated and enlarged team meeting and office spaces within the men’s and women’s basketball suites,” according to the materials.

Neville Arena is used by Auburn’s men’s basketball, women’s basketball, gymnastics and volleyball teams, and both the men’s and women’s basketball teams share the practice gym.

The BOT also voted on the second approval on an architect and construction manager for a multi-use facility in the Jordan-Hare Stadium north end zone.
