Auburn basketball lands another Division II scorer out of transfer portal

Auburn basketball picked up its fifth player out the transfer portal, gaining a commitment from Elyjah Freeman.

Freeman chose the Tigers over schools like Indiana and Tennessee, after averaging 18.8 points and 9.2 rebounds at Lincoln Memorial.

The 6-foot-8 wing could be a worthy replacement for Chad Baker-Mazara after his sudden entry into the transfer portal. Freeman shot 46% from beyond the arc in his freshman season.

With Freeman now in the class, Auburn has added eight players overall in its 2025 recruiting cycle.

He joins Kevin Overton, KeShawn Murphy, Keyshawn Hall, Abdul Bashir, Kaden Magwood, Sebastian Williams-Adams and Simon Walker.
