A 19-year-old is in custody after two people were stabbed in Auburn on Thursday.

Justin Martinez Monrell McGhee is charged with first-degree assault and second-degree assault, according to Auburn police.

Officers were called to a report of a knife assault near the 300 block of East Longleaf Drive. They found two victims wounded.

Authorities said both victims are in stable condition and expected to survive.

McGhee was taken into custody near the crime scene. He knew the victims, and police said the assault was not random.

The suspect is being held in the Lee County Jail on $75,000 bond.
