One person is dead, and another is seriously injured, following a shooting early Monday morning in Atmore.

According to Fox10, Atmore police say the incident happened about 2:15 a.m. in the area of Carver Avenue and King Street.

Police responding to a shots-fired call found two people shot.

One victim died at the hospital, while the other is in serious condition.

Police are investigating.
