Atlanta Braves adding subscription streaming package for 2025 season
The Atlanta Braves on Tuesday announced a number of viewing options for the 2025 season, including a subscription streaming package that won’t be subject to MLB’s blackout restrictions.
The vast majority of Braves games will air this season on FanDuel Sports Network (formerly Bally Sports Network), which is available on many (but not all) pay TV services. Games also will continue to stream via MLB.tv for out-of-market customers (the entire state of Alabama is considered part of the Braves’ “market”).
This year for the first time, however, Braves games will stream directly via the FanDuel Sports app, which is available for download on most smart TVs and mobile devices, and will also be available soon via Amazon Prime Video. The app subscription costs $19.99 per month and is NOT subject to blackout restrictions (this means fans in Alabama — or elsewhere within the Braves’ broadcast territory — can watch games on the app even if they do not subscribe to a pay TV service that offers FanDuel Sports Network).
Also, as was previously announced, a select number of 2025 Braves spring training and regular-season games will air via Gray Media, which owns a number of over-the-air television stations in Alabama and around the Southeast. Among Gray-owned stations in Alabama are Birmingham’s WBRC Fox 6, Dothan’s WTVY News 4, Huntsville’s WAFF 48, Mobile’s WALA Fox 10 and Montgomery’s WSFA 12.
The Braves begin spring training later this week, with the first televised spring training game on Thursday, Feb. 27 vs. the Washington Nationals on Gray TV. The regular season begins Thursday, March 27, at San Diego.
