An Athens man arrested late last year on rape, sodomy and sexual abuse charges has been indicted on more offenses, including incest.

Gregory Carlisle Scott, 52, is facing two counts of incest, and one additional charge each of rape, sodomy and sexual abuse after a Limestone County grand jury indicted him earlier this month, court records showed.

Scott is being held in the Limestone County Jail on $450,000 bond, according to jail records.

He was initially charged in October 2022 on one count each of rape, sodomy and sexual abuse.

Those charges stemmed from an investigation earlier that month. Investigators were called to the emergency room of Athens-Limestone Hospital on a reported rape.
