Athens man charged with human trafficking, child sex crimes

A Rogersville man faces multiple sex crime charges following an investigation that lasted almost a month.

Athens police announced that Payton Andrew Bolin, 20, has been charged with first degree human trafficking, two counts of second degree rape, first degree sodomy, two counts of second degree sodomy, and two counts of second degree sexual abuse.

According to police, investigators received a complaint on Feb. 16 regarding the sexual abuse of a child.

Bolin was then arrested Tuesday on warrants. Court documents indicate the victim was less than 16 years old, but more than 12 years old.

He is being held in the Limestone County Jail without bond.
