True barbecue fans know: Sometimes you find the biggest flavors in the smallest, most out-of-the way venues. Three Little Birds Smokehouse certainly fits the bill.

The joint is a tiny café on a mostly industrial stretch of U.S. 43 on the northern fringe of Chickasaw. While its waterfront location on Chickasaw Creek is nice, you’ll probably notice the adjacent boat ramp and bait shop before you spot the restaurant. Inside you’ll find half a dozen tables, though there’s more seating outside in temperate weather.
