There were no changes at the top of any classification in this week’s Alabama Sports Writers Association top 10 high school football rankings.

However, there was one notable omission.

Piedmont (0-2) fell out the Class 3A rankings following a 23-7 loss at Sylvania. The Bulldogs had been ranked in 167 consecutive polls, according to ASWA president A. Stacy Long.

The streak began in 2008 and was the state’s second-longest active streak. Piedmont received 14 points – one point shy of Class 3A No. 10 Ohatchee.
