A reader asked, “Why can’t the city clean the gutters and pickup all the trash along the roads? Why can’t the city clean up all the junk on the roads… like Mem(orial)/Gov(ernment). It’s horrible. Why can’t the city have teams to pickup trash and debris along the roads?”

That’s a big question in a big and growing city. Huntsville Landscape Management Director Brian Walker basically said that it isn’t for lack of trying.
