Army Corps Huntsville Center sets conference with contractors on $400M contract offering

The U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville is inviting contractors to a conference ahead of a planned $400 million solicitation to support missile defense programs, such as design of missile control buildings.

The center’s Missile Defense Mandatory Center of Expertise will hold the industry day/synopsis review event from 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 19 at Building RG300 on Redstone Arsenal.

According to a statement of work attached to the posted notice of contract opportunity, the contract suite will solicit architectural and engineering services “for the design of new facilities and sites in support of the deployment of Mission Critical and Mission Essential weapon system facilities and infrastructure … including radar and or missile control buildings, industrial workshops, power plants, communications facilities, administration buildings, ancillary structures, roadway networks, utilities, building systems, and various other facilities.”
