1 Player in the nation has at least 1,000 passing yards and 300 rushing yards this season – Arkansas QB KJ Jefferson. Jefferson has completed 80-of-121 passes for 1,096 yards with nine TDs and one interception and run for 312 yards and four TDs on 81 carries. He’s the sixth SEC player this century to reach those marks five games into a season, joining Arkansas’ Matt Jones in 2004, Florida’s Tim Tebow in 2007, Texas A&M’s Johnny Manziel in 2012 and 2013, Mississippi State’s Dak Prescott in 2014 and Texas A&M’s Trevor Knight in 2016.

4 Interceptions have been returned for TDs by Mississippi State CB Emmanuel Forbes, who scored on a 33-yard interception return with 3:29 left in the Bulldogs’ 42-24 victory over Texas A&M last week. Forbes had three interception-return TDs as a freshman in 2020. Forbes is the fifth SEC player with at least four interception-return TDs. Tennessee’s Jackie Walker holds the conference record with five. Florida’s Brandon Spikes, Vanderbilt’s Trey Wilson and Alabama’s Minkah Fitzpatrick had four apiece. Forbes intercepted two passes against Texas A&M, boosting his career total to 11. During his time at MSU, Forbes has two more interceptions than any other player in the nation and four more interceptions than any other SEC player since the start of the 2020 season.

6 Consecutive Arkansas games have featured a 100-yard rusher for the Razorbacks – four by RB Raheim Sanders and two by QB KJ Jefferson. One player has had a 100-yard rushing game against Mississippi State. Texas A&M RB Devon Achane ran for 111 yards on 16 carries in a 42-24 loss to MSU last week.

6 NCAA FBS players have reached 600 rushing yards this season, including Arkansas RB Raheim Sanders, who has 609 and four TDs on 105 carries. The other players with at least 600 rushing yards are Illinois’ Chase Brown, Marshall’s Khalan Laborn, Kansas State’s Deuce Vaughn, Michigan’s Blake Corum and Nebraska’s Anthony Grant. Sanders is the only one of the players who also has at least 100 receiving yards.

6.5 Sacks for Arkansas LB Drew Sanders, the most in the nation. Sanders has a sack in every game this season. Arkansas ranks second in the nation with 21 sacks.

7 Completions are needed by Mississippi State QB Will Rogers to become the SEC career leader. Georgia’s Aaron Murray established the conference record with 921 completions across 52 games from 2010 through 2013. Rogers has 915 completions in 26 games for the Bulldogs. Last season, Rogers completed 505 passes – 103 more than any other player in SEC history has in one campaign.

7 400-yard passing games for Mississippi State QB Will Rogers, tied for the most in SEC history. Kentucky QB Tim Couch had seven 400-yard passing games in the 1997 and 1998 seasons.

8 Arkansas-Mississippi State games have featured a ranked Bulldogs team against an unranked Razorbacks team, including the previous two meetings. The programs have split those eight contests, with MSU winning in 1992, 1994, 2017 and 2018 and Arkansas winning in 1997, 2000, 2020 and 2021.

18 Victories for Arkansas, 13 victories for Mississippi State and one tie in the Razorbacks-Bulldogs series. Officially, the series is 18-12-1 because MSU’s 2018 win has been vacated.
